After inviting the arriving public to smell the finely milled coffee powder, oriental coffee was prepared by using the traditional ritual followed in most greek homes.
The sound of crickets, playing from an Iphone, was accompanying the brewing and subjects such as ethnic coffee-name-politics, “slow” traditional coffee that needs it's time to settle before being drunk and rapid, hip Athens that lately seems to undergo a process of gentrification were touched upon: Quick new changes that take place in suddenly trendy Attica and the question for whom those are happening for were discussed - while each filled coffee cup was marked as #greek and offered to fellow, occidental coffee-drinkers to share the experience of a coffee, that doesn’t like to be rushed.
